2024 Youth Sailing Launches

Saturday 23 March marks the beginning of the Youth sailing season with a refresher day for all our young sailors who have completed their RYA Stage 1 / Stage 2 or higher and is interested in improving their skills back on the water. With coaching from Andrew Simpson centre, the session will cover the basics appropriate to each sailor's level and is a refresher to prepare sailors for the new season:

  • Water safety

  • How to rig, launch, tack, gybe

  • Sail a race course

  • How to do race starts

And to top things off, the club are hosting the Junior Launch Party at 5.30 where parents and youths can play games, hear stories from our RYA trained assistance instructors about last year's NSSA, Thames Challenge and other winter sailing adventures.

And hear more about the clubs courses and holiday clubs throughout the season.

Grab a hot supper and pudding and get a feel for what youth club is like. Bar open too. Click here to purchase tickets for the launch party on the website now! Can't promise weather like this on the 23rd but I guarantee there are evenings just like this most youth club dinners.
