It’s hard to imagine being on the river at the moment but the women who do race know that when the conditions are right, it’s a lot of fun! So in addition to the ‘Ladies Who Launch’ series of training sessions (see dates below) and the Ladies Cup every year(again, see date below) the club are launching a new series for ladies who race!
To get involved, simply enter any of the Sunday race series in a dinghy of your own or from the club (Lasers, Comets, Picos, Fevas or even Visions are all available to use for free) and start earning points. At the end of the season your points will be entered into the Ladies series and winner and runners up celebrated at the awards ceremony at the end of season (November).
There is already a lovely crowd of us who giggle, nudge and show steely competitive nerve every year at the Ladies Cup (see last year’s article on the event, page 7 Burgee 🤭) and there’s always a worthy winner. So please come down and join us for dinghy racing on a Sunday afternoon.
